Experience Senior Designer
Demand Media – Santa Monica, CA (September 2009 – September 2015)

Most recently I designed two responsive experiences. One is a tech review site which is a brand new offering from Demand Media set to launch this October. I led the design effort on a very small team to produce a responsive site for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. It’s based on a 1200px, 12 column grid. This allowed us to quickly iterate and build the site in a very short period of time. I also redesigned the leading airline photography site on the web which is also due to launch later this year. This too is a responsive experience based on a 1200px, 12 column grid.

I led all creative efforts (web and iOS app) for eHow’s newest offering, ‘eHowNow’. eHowNow is a commerce property that provides users direct access to answers through one-on-one online conversations with experts. I led the design direction and acted as sole designer. I worked closely with the Sr. Product Director for eHowNow as well as the front-end developers, back-end developers, and our Web Optimization Specialist to design A/B tests for this product to optimize the site for both users and the business at eHow.

I was the sole designer on the successful full site redesign with Answerbag.com, the second largest Q&A site on the web. Through the new design and user experience we more than tripled revenue for this website.

I was responsible for the design and art direction for the eHow Tech Channel. This consisted of landing pages, blog pages as well as pages and supporting content featuring our expert talent.I’ve been involved with numerous mobile projects.

I was responsible for the design of the Golflink.com and Trails.com iPhone apps as well as the mobile website experiences for eHowNow and Eat.What.Why.

Led the design of eHow’s Food channel Tailgating landing page featuring Josh Ozersky for the football tailgating season.

Designed various site skins, sales mocks and social media components for ehow.com, answerbag.com, golflink.com, gardenguides.com, trails.com, typef.com, dailypuppy.com and other sites for Demand Media.
